East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) Formally Supports Magee Preserve

The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) announced in a news release (below) that they will accept fee title and maintain into perpetuity the 381 acres of new permanent open space at Magee Preserve. This is a follow-up to the EBRPD’s December 2019 letter to the Danville Town Manager affirming its formal support for Magee Preserve. (Click here to download a pdf copy of the letter.)

What does this mean for Danville families? This allows Magee Preserve land to expand the Sycamore Valley Open Space Regional Preserve and provide 3.5 miles of new trails within the Town’s trail network and by law keeps it off limits to development forever.

We are grateful and excited to link arms with EBRPD in a unified effort to preserve hundreds of acres of new permanent public open space for all Danville families.
